…to suspend Serena Williams.
I agree with Mike Lopresti that a suspension is called for (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnist/lopresti/2009-09-14-lopresti-serena_N.htm).
Imagine doing what Serena did at a Little League baseball game or any other league for that matter. Imagine a coach, player, or parent grabbing the ball of choice (tennis, basketball, baseball), walking toward an official and screaming, “I’m going to take this ball and shove it down your *&%$@ *&$#% throat.”
Then shaking their racket, bat, stick or whatever menacingly at the umpire.
Yikes…my guess is a parent who does that at a kid’s sports game is getting arrested. I’ve seen the police called for similar behavior.
So what do you think? Will the powers that be do what is right and suspend her or will they cave to pressure from the elite’s…?
